On Tuesday, the Fugs (as they’re known online) released the long-awaited sequel, The Heir Affair, finding the newlywed Nick and Bex in self-imposed exile, laying low to escape a wave of press scrutiny-a twist that sounds familiar after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure earlier this year. Mirroring real life, breakups, makeups, and shenanigans involving Nick’s naughty younger brother, Prince Freddie, ensued. It was inspired by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s romance and eventual marriage, but with a twist: the royal bride, Bex, was an American studying abroad at Oxford when she met fictional heir to the throne, Prince Nicholas.
